Dr. Solomon demonstrates Lipolaze

March 5, 2008 |

Dr. Solomon is pleased to introduce Lipolaze: the latest development in his earch for better ways to help patients achieve the look they desire. Dr. Solomon developed this method of treatment to remove fat and tighten skin in locations that are traditionally difficult to treat.

While SmartLipo® coagulates the blood in small vessels to prevent bleeding; LipoLaze’s specifically targeted beam treats fat cells and blood cells to minimize bruising while it vaporizes fat.

Like SmartLipo®, Lipolaze uses a laser in conjunction with liposuction to treat fat. Unlike SmartLipo®, Lipolaze is designed specifically for the treatment of fat. Using patented technologies, Dr. Solomon is able to achieve dramatic results due to the specific qualities of the laser light itself. The LipoLaze beam specifically targets fat cells, using a special wavelength of light that vaporizes the deposits from underneath the skin. The targeted laser beam also minimizes bruising and tightens skin. LipoLaze can be used to treat areas of skin that did not shrink after surgery, including areas previously treated with liposuction such as the:

  • back
  • upper and lower thighs
  • flanks
  • upper arms
  • waist
  • hips
  • genitalia
  • neck
  • difficult to treat “bra strap” and armpit areas
  • male breast tissue

Unique to Lipolaze is the ability to treat the lower eyelids, melting the fatty deposits in a short office procedure that requires only local anesthesia and leaves minimal bruising. The procedures take about 30 to 45 minutes, feature no sutures, and most patients are able to return to normal daily activities within 24 hours. Any discomfort from the procedure can generally be treated with over the counter pain relievers. While results are visible within 48 hours, 4-6 weeks after the procedure patients will begin to see tighter, more contoured skin as the tissue adjusts and contracts to the newer, slimmer body. The LipoLaze is unique to Dr. Solomon’s practice, and is not currently available elsewhere in the world. For more information visit marksolomonmd.com
