Cosmetic Injectable Procedures Continue to Grow Despite Economy

March 2, 2011 |

After reviewing the latest statistics on cosmetic procedures, I’m continuing to see strong growth in all of the minimally invasive procedures. Particularly in cosmetic injectables like the Botulinum toxins and dermal fillers. According to a recent report from Global Data, the Botulinum toxin market is expected to maintain the lead in terms of market share. They forecast the US facial aesthetics market to reach $1.7 billion in 2017, with an average 9% annual growth.

This report really emphasizes the importance of physicians offering lower cost, minimally invasive procedures to their patients. Once the realm of plastic surgeons and dermatologists, we are now seeing more non-core physicians like family practice and ob/gyn physicians adding these low complication procedures. We at the IAPAM have been offering botox training to physicians for over 5 years, and pride ourselves in providing the leading aesthetic medicine training program for physicians world wide. Another growing profit center for physicians is adding hCG for weight loss to their practices.  Since the Dr. Oz Show aired their episode on the hCG diet, IAPAM weight loss clinics have seen a strong increase in new patients signing up for this effective weight loss program.

Wishing you all the best!

Cheers,   Jeff Russell
