Effective MedSpa Print Advertising

October 6, 2010 |

In today’s economy, it’s more important than ever that you only spend your marketing dollars on revenue generating marketing tactics.  My good friend, and medical spa consultant, Cindy Graf (aka The Laser Queen) says, “you don’t have the time or money for brand advertising, you need to get patients in the door now!” I 100% agree with her advice!! If your existing print advertising campaign consists of the doctor along with a laundry list of your services, you need to change now!

According to Cindy’s session at the last IAPAM Aesthetic Medicine Symposium, “the simple fact is that your print advertising campaign needs to have a before and after picture of the procedure you want to promote (i.e. laser hair removal, Botox), along with 3 or 4 benefits, a discount ($$ is better than %), and your contact information.”   Remember, tell them what they need to do, “Call 555-555-5555 Now for a Free Consultation.” Your branding will consist of your logo, located in the same location of every ad your run (i.e. bottom middle, top left).   If you don’t have a logo, for $300 you can get one created in about a week at www.99designs.com.

My last tip is don’t advertise in the city’s daily newspaper, only in your community newspaper (weekly or monthly).  Most people will not drive more than 20 minutes for aesthetic procedures, so be sure you “own” every house & business within a 20 minute radius of your MedSpa or aesthetic practice.   These tips came from the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and Aesthetic Practice Startup Workshop.   Good Selling!!!
