Twitter Tools for Medical Spas – Tweet Scheduling
One of the great benefits of using Twitter is that it allows you to quickly and cheaply (free!) communicate with your clients and prospective clients. For a Medispa, there are some great tools out there that help you do this very efficiently. A program I use is very suitable for medspa marketing departments, and that program is Hootsuite. An important Twitter tool for any MedSpa is the ability to schedule your tweets. Tweet scheduling allows you to create a series of tweets and send them out whenever you want. For a medspa, there are four great tweeting strategies:
1) Create a series of tweets that may lead to a “special” deal. (i.e. 8am “New FDA approved treatment extends eyelashes”, 9am: “Latisse lengthens and thickens eyelashesin 30 days”, 9:30am “Save 25% of Latisse treatments until July 4th, Call Amy @ 555-555-5555 to book an appt”)
2) Send out Q&A’s of cosmetic concerns with the doctor’s answer (i.e. “Read Dr. Smiths answer to treating melasma, www.answer.com“).
3) Educating your listeners on the procedures you offer (i.e. “Guide to the latest non-invasive Laser Liposuction procedures… www.answer.com”).
4) Promote an event (i.e. “We’re having a Botox/Juvederm party! Stop by for prizes and goodies! There are some last minute appts available; give us a call!”).
Personally, I think it makes more sense spending an hour once a week scheduling a weeks worth of tweets, rather than sending them throughout the week. It’s a good practice to mix up a weeks worth of tweets, with some tweets from each of the above 4 categories.
Hootsuite does have some other great benefits, like being able to link existing RSS feeds and tweet them out, utilize Ping.fm tweet broadcasting, manage multiple twitter accounts, track tweet statistics, and allow for multiple editors.
