Facebook for Medical Spas and Aesthetic Practices
I recently read that there are over 50 million connections between businesses and users on Facebook. What I find amazing is that Facebook users seem to have no problem “Liking” brands. Even just a year ago, most Facebook users kept everything personal, they would ignore Facebook ads, and they focused on keeping in touch with friends and family. My how times have changed in only a year.
It’s becoming very obvious if you don’t have a Facebook page for your medical spa or aesthetic practice you better get one fast! The fact is your patients are already using Facebook (along with 600 million other people), and they will now interact with brands on Facebook. I have seen some great examples of successful Facebook business pages for medical spas, like Stockton Dermatology in Phoenix (www.facebook.com/pages/Stockton-Dermatology/243038718625) and Radiance Medspa in Tampa Bay (www.facebook.com/RadianceMedSpa). Both of these pages have a great mix of before and after photos, tips, and event invitations. These are all great ways to promote your medispa or aesthetic practice with Facebook. The nice thing about Facebook is that you can now create your own tabs, so you can highlight promotions (check out Stockton Dermatology’s Welcome tab).
The great thing about Facebook is that it’s free to create a Facebook page for your business. The only costs you’ll have is labor for someone to update/post (here you can train your receptionist or business/marketing manager), and you’ll need to pay for any Facebook PPC (pay per click) ad’s you create (remember, only advertise to your city, not the whole country!).
