Homoepathic hCG found with Zero hCG

December 30, 2010 |

I came across an interesting website today. It appears that someone bought some homeopathic hCG on the internet and sent it to a lab for testing.  As noted many times in our press releases, the IAPAM’s hCG Weight Loss Training for Physicians only supports pharmaceutical grade hCG.

When the results came back, it was discovered that it contained no hCG! Wow, isn’t that surprising!?! You can see the website and lab reports here.  When they questioned the lab, they found that the homeopathic hCG drops were nothing more than alcohol and water with some traces of herbal stimulants. Of course people who’ve purchased this homeopathic hCG swear it works, and I’m sure they are losing weight, but what kind of weight are you losing? Muscle or fat??  With homeopathic hCG it’s safe to say it’s going to be muscle, whereas studies have shown you lose fat when following the original hCG protocol with pharmaceutical strength hCG (available only by prescription).

What is even more concerning is that people are ordering homeopathic hCG and starting the diet without proper physician supervision. Any physician trained in hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin) for weight loss knows that the hCG diet is not for everyone, and they complete a series of lab tests to ensure each patient can safely go on a hCG diet program. I know that through the IAPAM’s hCG for Weight Loss program, we teach physicians the most common medical contraindications so they can safely prescribe hCG.  People need to understand, hCG is not some kind of wonder drug, you just don’t take it and the weight magically disappears. You need to follow a very strict diet regimen, followed by a maintenance program. Without following the entire protocol (hCG + diet + maintenance), you will not get the best results out of the program, which are: targeted fat loss, long term weight loss, resetting of metabolism, and resetting to a new “normal” weight.

In conclusion, hCG is only available by a prescription; you cannot buy it on the internet. What you do find on the internet contains nothing more than alcohol, water and some herbs. It is also important for you to ensure that your healthcare provider is certified and experienced in providing the hCG for weight loss. If they prescribe hCG and say good luck, run!  They should be completing a detailed medical history on you, as well as sending you for lab testing. It is vitally important that they understand the link between the hCG hormone, a strict diet, and the maintenance program. That is the key to successful weight loss with hCG!

Happy weight loss in 2011!!

Cheers,   Jeff Russell
