Quick MedSpa Marketing Tip – Use Google AdWords

October 1, 2008 |

In today’s economy, it’s more important than ever your medical spa marketing dollars bring in clients today. With, Google AdWords you can open an account for free, and have an advertising campaign promoting a laser hair removal special at your medical spa within an hour or two.

If you haven’t dabbled with Google’s marketing related programs, its time you have! The first step is to  register your medspa or aesthetic practice on Google Local Business Center. Once listed, prospective clients using Google will get a map of your location, your medical spas name, full address and phone number.  You can also post a coupon to help drive in more traffic to your medispa. As well, you can upload photo’s to a photo gallery – all at no charge!

Once you’ve setup your free local listing. It’s time to create a localized Google AdWords PPC (Pay Per Click) account.  AdWords allows you create short ads that target an aesthetic/cosmetic procedure potential customers are searching on in Google (i.e. Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peel, laser hair removal). The nice thing is that you can tell Google to only have your ads run in your city, or selected zip codes within your city. With AdWords PPC, you only pay when a potential client clicks on your ad. Each click (depending on the competition) is typically around .05-.99. When you start off with AdWords, it’s important you keep your daily maximum within a reasonable amount (i.e. $10-30). Your ads need to be written in a way to get the attention of an internet searcher who is looking for your product or service’s; and get them to click on your ad.  I’ve seen very effective Google AdWords advertising campaigns for only $300/m!
