Reliant Technologies Announces Agreement with Philips to Develop Home Use Skin Rejuvenation Laser Products
Developer of Fraxel(R) Laser Systems Signs Agreement with Leading Health and Well-being Company to Enter Growing Home Use Skin Care Market
Reliant Technologies Inc., developer of the Fraxel laser systems, today announced an agreement with Philips to develop skin care technologies for use in the home. The agreement — which is at an initial R&D stage — will combine Reliant’s expertise in developing innovative skin rejuvenation laser treatments with Philips’ design, marketing and global distribution capabilities, to provide consumers with home use skin care solutions that deliver safe and effective results.

According to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, laser skin resurfacing is one of the fastest growing segments of the beauty industry having increased 230 percent from 1997 to 2007. In addition, more consumers have begun seeking home use aesthetic treatments. Providing consumers with home use products that give them the desired skin rejuvenation results is the key to success in this market.
