Should You Choose HCG Injection Or HCG Drops For Weight Loss?

June 1, 2010 |

Human Chorionic Gonaditrophin, a natural hormone present in the human body, has been recognized to be able to control body’s metabolic functions. This powerful hormone, therefore, has been used as an effective weight loss aid. The popular HCG diet use HCG injections or HCG drops for weight loss along with a 500-calorie-per-day diet to help dieters lose a significant amount of weight. The combination of the daily HCG dose and 500 calorie diet enables the hormone to stimulate the hypothalamus into utilizing stored fat as energy, therefore resulting in a great amount of weight loss. Dieters will lose anywhere from half a pound to 1 pounds a day without experiencing hunger pains, body fatigue or other common symptoms associated with fast weight loss from other diet plans.

There are two popular ways for HCG dieters to take the daily dose of HCG today, HCG injection or HCG drops. So one may wonder whether he or she should take a HCG injection or HCG drops for weight loss purpose.

HCG shot has become the standard method of taking HCG since 1950s. Dr. ATW Simeons, the creator of HCG weight loss diet, recommended HCG shot injections. That’s because HCG was only biologically active when injected into the human body via a hypodermic needle at that time. HCG, if ingested at that time, would be broke down by the body and rendered almost useless.

An HCG injection may be administered by a physician, or self injected at home. The recommended daily dosage of HCG injection is 125 to 175 IU (some dieters prefer to inject 200 IU) and is usually injected to thighs, arms and buttocks. The needles used for the injections are very thin and are said to be virtually painless.

Thanks to the advancement of science and technology, scientists have invented HCG drops as an effective alternative to HCG injection these days. HCG drops for weight loss are also known as sublingual HCG, which dieters will put under the tongue so the mucous membrane can absorb HCG into the body effectively.

Oral HCG drops are a convenient alternative to HCG injections that many dieters prefer today, especially for those needle-shys or those who are not comfortable in administering HCG injections by themselves. Multiple studies have shown both HCG injection and HCG drops have yielded similar weight loss results if used appropriately. However, dieters who choose HCG drops for weight loss need to take 2 doses a day, which is twice as much comparing to HCG injection.

So when it comes to choosing an HCG injection or HCG drops for weight loss, it’s really dieters’ personal preference. HCG drops is more convenient, however it takes twice much comparing to HCG shots. Both methods, however, are excellent and effective methods of delivering the required HCG hormone into the dieters’ body.

My understanding is that the hcg Drops are offered in a variety of types including homepathic versions. Some if these drops are not of human origin and are far less effective than the real human hCG. These liquid drops are offered all over the internet and I see that many folks have less that good results than the real thing. BUYER BEWARE – some come from overseas and there is no FDA quality control which can be dangerous.

Stick to a licensed medical clinic that offers the real thing. You may pay more, but you will sleep at night (and wake up in the AM).
